Improving Young People’s Mental Health Consultation

This consultation aims to improve emotional well-being and mental health services for children and young people. This work is part of the commitment to Putting Children First.

It was found from recent surveys that Jersey has an increasing number of children and young people that need support for their emotional well-being and mental health. We also know that services aren’t always joined up and some specific areas, such as when a young person is transitioning to adult services, need development and improvement.

This is your opportunity to have your say about how you think the Government of Jersey can improve children and young people’s emotional well-being and mental health.

What you tell us will help to inform decisions about how we create high-quality emotional well-being and mental health services for children and young people. These new services will help to:

  • reduce stigma
  • prevent problems occurring
  • increase early access to help and support
  • ensure services are joined up
  • develop the best treatment and recovery options
  • improve crisis support and care of the most vulnerable
