On Friday 12th of January 2018 The Link was officially opened by Senator Ian Gorst.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YES<\/strong> has been running for nearly 10 years with the first drop-in opening in 2008 at Le Motte Street. A few years later <strong>YES<\/strong> then moved to St. James\u00a0centre which was originally St. James Vicarage, before making it&#8217;s final move to Eagle House.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YES<\/strong> helps young people access up-to-date information and advice so that they can make informed choices on a range of issues in their lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YES<\/strong> is a &#8216;One Stop Shop&#8217; for young people to access free, independent &amp; confidential support &amp; counselling via the drop-in centre, by phone, text, e-mail\u00a0or through the website\u00a0www.yes.je<\/p>\n<p>The service is open to all young people age 14 &#8211; 25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YES<\/strong> offers a universal access point to targeted and specialist services, supporting young people on a diverse range of issues that are frequently inter-related such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Social welfare issues e.g. benefits, housing, debt, employment \uf076<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mental and emotional health issues e.g. depression, low self-esteem\u00a0and\u00a0self-harm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Family problems and stress. \uf076<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wider personal and health issues e.g. relationships, sexual health, drugs and alcohol, healthy eating.\uf076<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Practical issues e.g. careers, money management, independent living skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What do some Young People Say:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for helping me through a difficult time. I\u2019m in a really good place now and happy in my life.
