Time to Talk Day 2020
Time to Talk Day 2020 is taking place on Thursday 6th February.
The day is run by Time to Change UK and aims to encourage everyone to be more open about their mental health.
Mental health problems affect at least one in four of all people, yet many people still feel isolated, ashamed and worthless. Mental health can feel awkward to talk about, but it doesn’t have to be.
Here at the YES Project, we offer the opportunity for any young person to come in and have a chat about absolutely anything. Whether it is issues at school, at home, at work or general life stress; there is someone you can talk to.
Sometimes it is difficult to talk to someone close to you as emotions often get involved, so we offer the chance to chat with someone completely unbiased and non-judgmental and who has some understanding of how to look after mental and overall well-being.
YES is open Monday-Friday 12-6pm and always has a couple of youth workers ready to talk to and who can listen. If you feel that you would like to talk to a counsellor then this is something we can arrange and register you for the counselling service.
