At the end of 2017 The Youth Enquiry Service (YES) started the move to their new premises at The Link, Eagle House, La Colomberie. On Friday 12th of January 2018 The Link was officially opened by Senator Ian Gorst.

YES has been running for nearly 10 years with the first drop-in opening in 2008 at Le Motte Street. A few years later YES then moved to St. James centre which was originally St. James Vicarage, before making it’s final move to Eagle House.

YES helps young people access up-to-date information and advice so that they can make informed choices on a range of issues in their lives.

YES is a ‘One Stop Shop’ for young people to access free, independent & confidential support & counselling via the drop-in centre, by phone, text, e-mail or through the website www.yes.je

The service is open to all young people age 14 – 25.

YES offers a universal access point to targeted and specialist services, supporting young people on a diverse range of issues that are frequently inter-related such as:

• Social welfare issues e.g. benefits, housing, debt, employment 
• Mental and emotional health issues e.g. depression, low self-esteem and self-harm.
• Family problems and stress. 
• Wider personal and health issues e.g. relationships, sexual health, drugs and alcohol, healthy eating.
• Practical issues e.g. careers, money management, independent living skills.

Since the opening of The Link there has been an increase in young people accessing the service which is believed to be from the location of the drop-in. Accessing YES is super easy, you can pop into the drop-in Monday to Friday between 12:00pm and 6:00pm or contact us by phone, text, email or through our website.
