World Children’s Day 2019
To celebrate World Children’s Day 2019 today, we have a fabulous display designed by the Youth Advisory Panel of the Children’s Commisioner. The display looks in particular at 4 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child: Education, Health, Voice and Access to Reliable Information.
This year is special as it marks 30 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child which was first adopted back in 1989. The Convention sets minimum standards for protecting the rights of children in all capacities and has 54 articles, some of which can be seen in the picture below.
